Course Description
This workshop equips Human Capital (HC) professionals with the practical skills and analytical mindset needed to leverage data throughout the full HC analytics cycle. Participants will move from foundational data literacy through hands-on application of data collection, cleaning, organization, preprocessing, visualization, and interpretation.

Technical Requirements:

  • Laptops or tablets per participant with Microsoft Excel 2016+ or Microsoft 365
  • Power BI Desktop (free) pre-installed — or web-based Power BI with accounts

This training goes beyond theory. By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Apply data cleaning and validation techniques to prepare raw HC datasets for analysis

  • Select and build appropriate data visualizations to communicate HC insights clearly
  • Interpret HC metrics and KPIs, identify trends and anomalies, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Develop a personal action plan for embedding HC analytics practices in their organization

  • Basic familiarity with HR functions and HC processes
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (intermediate level)
  • No prior statistics or data science background required

  • Preprocess and transform HC data for analysis-readiness
  • Define the right business question before touching data
  • Define and calculate core HC metrics and KPIs
  • Understand and apply lead vs. lag indicators in HR contexts
  • Select and apply the right visualization types to HC data stories


Interpretation & Application: Data to Decision
Theme: Developing the analytical judgment to interpret HC data accurately and communicate compelling, evidence-based recommendations to business stakeholders.

Objectives:

  • Build complete HC analytics dashboards from raw data to final output
  • Apply the STAR Insight Framework to interpret HC data narratives
  • Recognize common analytical biases and interpretation pitfalls
  • Apply stakeholder influence techniques to gain buy-in for HC analytics findings
  • Build recognition and credibility for the HC analytics function with leadership
  • Introduce predictive analytics concepts for HC applications
  • Present a data-driven HC recommendation confidently to leadership
Accreditation
