This course is designed for student to learn and discover how low-code development like PowerApps, combined with the overall Business Application Platform, is changing the way you address the needs of information workers. Next, you will take be taught into the capabilities of PowerApps development, including controls, expression language, and data source. Finally, you will look at a real-world example, combined with deployment considerations. When you’re finished with this course, you will have the knowledge to start building PowerApps for your organization.

This course designed for beginners who wish to customize their data entry forms such as SharePoint and discover how low-code to deliver more bespoke actions to their apps

This program will be conducted with interactive lectures, PowerPoint presentation, discussion and practical exercise.

This course delivers an instructor-led breakdown of Microsoft PowerApps. Students will be taught how to design, test and publish new apps that work with a variety of data sources. We will take users through a selection of well-crafted lessons to help them build new applications for their business.

Module 1:

Learn about the value and capabilities of Power Apps and ways other organizations have leveraged this technology to build simple applications for their business

• Describe when PowerApps should be used
• Know how to access PowerApps
• Make design decisions based on PowerApps licenses
• Understand that there are two type of app
• PowerApps licensing

Module 2:

This module will begin the tour with you how to start the journey of PowerApps product by looking at pre-build templates that are available to view and edit. The templates are good to start and discover the PowerApps capabilities and how you achieve your business needs. It will lead students are familiar with the interface that they will be using over in this module. For example: building first app from a static app data source, how to test the app instantly without need to publish.

Module 3

This module will cover how to create, view, and edit an app, including how to edit layouts and apply themes. It will also guide designers to brand an app such as screen colors, fonts, buttons and more controls.

• Use times to show and hide controls

Module 4:

This module will focus on the basics of adding, editing and removing controls from our applications. The drive behind this module is to provide more depth on the categories of controls which can be used on a form.

• Use a wide range of controls to give users the best data entry experience
• Edit control properties
• Use formulas to all multiple controls to interact with each other Present information using charts

Module 5:

PowerApps offers connections to a wide selection of data sources. Students should be able to learn how to build their PowerApps from a variety of data sources as well as how they can utilize the Dataverse which a Microsoft managed storage uniquely for PowerApps.

Module 6:

PowerApps is designed to easily connect to other business systems to read and update information. In this module we will discuss some simple ways to integrate PowerApps with Microsoft 365 features including Teams, SharePoint Online and Flow. The result is the ability to use a combination of systems to create solutions for a variety of business requirements.

• Embed PowerApps in Teams
• Embed PowerApps in SharePoint Online
• Start a Flow from a PowerApps

Module 7

PowerApps allow us to manage their existing apps and how to export and import apps, so they can be reused in other locations. Finally, we will discuss how Microsoft 365 administrators can shape the PowerApps experience with high-level settings that help ensure data segregation and security.

• Identify which users have been using PowerApps
• Reuse an app in another location (move from testing or development to production)
• Review app usage
• Prevent a user from using PowerApps
• Manage environments
