Advanced Oil and Gas Production and Processing in Projects
Course Description
The start‑up and commissioning of new plants and facilities represents both a major technical and project management challenge. This programme provides a structured and integrated approach covering Project Execution, Operation Readiness, Commissioning, and Start‑Up phases to ensure safe, timely, and cost‑effective project delivery and handover to operations. The course combines technical commissioning practices with project management principles and operational readiness strategies to bridge the gap between construction completion and stable plant operation. Participants will gain a holistic understanding of how to transition a facility from construction to full operation readiness, including planning, risk management, team coordination, system testing, and performance validation.

Training Objective

By the end of this programme participants will be able to:

  • Understand the full project lifecycle from construction completion to steady‑state operations
  • Develop operation readiness plans aligned with project milestones
  • Integrate commissioning activities within project management frameworks
  • Apply structured start‑up methodologies
  • Manage risks associated with commissioning and start‑up
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams during project execution
  • Plan shutdowns, turnarounds, and system integration activities
  • Verify system integrity, safety, and performance before handover

Target Audience

  • Operations Engineers and Supervisors
  • Commissioning Engineers
  • Project Engineers and Managers
  • Process and Production Engineers
  • Asset Managers
