Course Description
This five-day course has been designed to give delegates a good grounding in mechanical maintenance. The course covers fundamental safety, drive systems, disassembly & assembly techniques, preventative maintenance, fault finding and interoperating technical information such as drawings and component specifications. It will provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills they need to work safely and competently on a range of mechanical equipment

By the end of this training course, participants will learn to:

  • Learn how to work with mechanical equipment safely.
  • Learn about the common mechanical components found on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including how to fit and maintain: Gaskets & Seals, Gears, Bearings, Clutches & Brakes, Drive Shafts Keys and Couplings, Belt Drive Systems and Chain Drive Systems.
  • Learn how to dismantle and assemble equipment correctly and efficiently, including how to inspect components for wear and damage and how to align components correctly.
  • Learn how to apply preventative maintenance to equipment reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Learn how to deal with broken and damaged screw threads and seized components.
