Advanced Stuck Pipe Prevention & Remediation Engineering
Course Description
Stuck pipe remains one of the most costly and hazardous drilling challenges in the oil and gas industry. This advanced course provides in depth understanding of stuck pipe mechanisms, early detection techniques, risk modeling, and advanced prevention and remediation practices. Participants will analyze real case studies and employ engineering calculations to design preventive strategies and effective recovery plans.
The Training Course Will Highlight ?
Training Objective

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify mechanical, differential, and wellbore instability stuck pipe mechanisms.
  • Conduct stuck pipe risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Interpret downhole indicators and surface trends for early detection.
  • Apply advanced drilling practices to reduce stuck pipe exposure.
  • Design and execute effective freeing, jarring, and back‑off operations.
  • Analyze failure scenarios and implement lessons learned in future wells.
