Basic Completions and Completions Design
Course Description
This course provides a solid foundation in well completions and completions design, covering the key components, methodologies, and considerations for optimizing well performance. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of completion systems, reservoir completions, barrier management, and techniques like sand control and stimulation.
The Training Course Will Highlight ?
Training Objective

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of well completions and their importance in well performance.
  • Design effective completion systems tailored to reservoir characteristics and operational goals.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate completion components, including tubings, packers, and safety valves.
  • Address issues related to barrier management and develop practical solutions for barrier failures.
  • Gain hands-on experience in selecting materials, designing completions, and troubleshooting common problems.
  • Apply advanced techniques like perforating, sand control, and acid stimulation to enhance well productivity.

Target Audience

This course is designed for:

  • Engineers and technical staff involved in well completions and well integrity.
  • Field operators and supervisors managing completion operations.
  • Reservoir and production engineers seeking to integrate completion strategies.
  • Professionals new to the oil and gas industry or transitioning into completions roles.

Training Methods

The course emphasizes a combination of theoretical and practical learning, including:

  • Detailed lectures on completion components and design principles.
  • Practical exercises to apply knowledge in realistic scenarios.
  • Case studies to analyze the performance of different completion systems.
  • Interactive discussions to address challenges and best practices.
