Integrated Reservoir Management
Course Description
Understanding the reservoir management concept is very crucial for a proper field development plan. Integrated approach of reservoir management should be adopted to keep the production at its optimum level. The course aims to give the participants with a solid knowledge of the integrated reservoir management principles and concepts. The integrated reservoir management process, role of the reservoir simulation within the overall reservoir management process and importance of reservoir surveillance/monitoring plan will be discussed. The significance of the production optimization process using the Nodal Analysis approach in addition to the basic economics evaluation are also included. The course covers an integrated reservoir modelling approach with focus on fluid characterization and special core analysis. The course covers all aspects related to the oil recovery methods starting from the primary recovery and up to enhanced oil recovery methods. Actual reservoir management field study cases are also included to reflect the development scenarios of matured reservoirs and increasing oil production from a thin oil reservoir by using smart well technology.
