Production Technology
Course Description
This five full-day course is designed to provide your valuable attendees with a comprehensive knowledge about fundamentals and best practices of modern petroleum production engineering. The course will provide an understanding of integrated production systems, from reservoir to surface. New techniques and technologies will be provided in the course to cope with the industry trends and leverage company performance levels.
The Training Course Will Highlight ?

The course starts by presenting a review of the basic principles of reservoir, wellbore and surface network, then present solutions to connect the different elements of a production system together. Discussion is carried out on how to optimize a production system and maximize the recoverable reserves from a field given the physical constraints dictated by the production system itself and knowing the limitations of current modelling tools. This course will focus on major areas of Production Technology and addresses both theoretical concepts and practical onsite experience.

Training Objective

By the end of this training course, participants should be able to:

  • Get the key concept of integrated production systems.
  • Understand the individual components (the reservoir, the near-wellbore region, the well and the surface facilities).
  • Gain a good background about various areas of expertise.
  • Recommend techniques to optimize production and maximize reserves sustainably and costeffectively.
  • Select the most beneficial technology and set realistic expectations on production behavior changes and recovery improvement.

Target Audience

  • Newly-hired Engineers
  • Well Intervention Engineers
  • Petroleum and Production Engineers
  • Production Technology Engineers
  • Completion Engineers
